Outreach Program
This year, our goal is to find sponsors/donors, grants and foundations, and raise funds to keep every visit FREE in the community. Minis and Friends needs supporters to help with the cost of daily care for our herd of 11 miniature horses/donkeys, annual vaccinations, transportation and gasoline and insurance costs, and much, much more that goes with the proper care-taking of our little horses.
MasterCard and SeanMonet's humans have traded in the SUV for a wonderful 2002 Honda Odyssey at Howdy Honda. We are happy to report the minis are thrilled by their new ride - safer, calmer, restful and happy. As are their human companions.
Additional Goals
Continue to document the successes of our teachings using Equine Guided Interactions Program (EGIP) by utilizing miniature horses in the growing need of equine assisted activities for people of all ages, special needs and disabilities
Encourage other miniature horse owners to join with us to spread the joys of miniature horse EGIP throughout the greater metro Austin and surrounding counties. We will help them to train their minis and themselves in the art of EGIP as a mini-friend team of Minis and Friends
Work with the minis to support the activities of other children/family oriented non-profits; i.e. Down's Syndrome, Cancer, Juvenile Diabetes, Make-A-Wish Foundation, etc.
Increase public awareness of Minis and Friends to find sponsors to pave the way for donation free visits to our facilities and places we visit.
Add additional boarding facilities for the miniature horses all around Austin to continue in our outreach of growing "Minis and Friends"
Schedule seasonal Mini Boot Camps as a resource and support system for others by teaching them how to start-up and open their own EGIP non-profit arganization
Join us to today! Help us continue to provide free visits to all every facility and person we visit. Check out our "Donate" page to learn more about sponsorship of Minis and Friends.
