Mini Boot Camp News
2010 Mini Boot Camp dates coming soon - here's the months to give an idea of timeframe:

The Mini Boot Camp Workshop is designed to teach you on how to bring a miniature horse into the community, load and unload into mini-van's or trailers, work where ever the need is, and many other perfected hands-on techniques to help you start up an Equine Guided Interactions (EGI) program and how to start-up a non profit organization and how to make it run effectively.
After months of visiting with like organizations through-out the US and Canada in 2006-2009, we have fine-tuned our Boot Camp workshop. We believe this 4- day intensive hands-on class will send you home with dreams and goals for your own mini-horse or mini-donkey program.
This is a tuition based donation to Minis and Friends. Hotel and meals are not included; however we can assist with finding a specially priced hotel during your stay. We can also assist in the start-up of your 501c3 in guiding you to proper forms and other important details. Email Mini Boot Camp today on how we can help.
What will you learn?
| This workshop teaches the basics of Equine Guided Interactions Program (EGIP) - aligned with our sister organization in Canada who has developed a more in depth program "EGATP" | |
| You will participate in a hands-on 4-hour "Mini Manners 101" class taught by our mini expert Tana Fowler at Fowler's Hill Country Miniature Horses | |
| Hands-on visits to a youth organizations or nursing home to practice working in the community | |
| It will teach you how to start-up a 501c3 non-profit organization from start to finish | |
| You will learn about fundraising, media, marketing, foundations and grant writing | |
| You will receive a notebook/CD full of useful letters, email templates, instructions of tried "what works" | |
| You will also receive information on the importance of a Website, Blog and social networking internet building - we will discuss the how-to's and software and opportunities to have a website developed by Minis and Friends (optional) | |
You will receive a Certificate of Completion of the Workshop that you have gone through EGI training And much, much more .. |
Prerequisites for attendance:
- You must own miniature horses or be familiar with horses
- You must fill out and return the Application in advance
- You must come to Austin for hands-on training
- You must pay 1/2 down before you come either by PayPal available on this site or by check
- You must be prepared to work hard and ask questions - we want you to go home and succeed!

Mini Boot Camp - June 2009
The 3.5 day workshop galloped off into intensive hands-on training June 18-21, 2009. Our trainees from Buena Vista, Colorado worked hard in the Mini Manners 101 class, visited with Ride On Rock in Georgetown, participated in a very special visit with the Austin Children's Shelter and worked on the How To's for working with people of all ages with special needs and start-up of a 501(c)(3).
Susan and Crissey are in start-up and having a great time at Mini-Blessings while waiting fo their 501(c)(3) paperwork .
